Let’s face it: there isn’t a great deal of information available that gives people a choice on how to care for their oral health. There’s brushing and flossing and a million different types of brushes, flosses and toothpastes with which to try this, which brings us back to brushing and flossing again. Bearing in mind that 90% of people in UK, Europe, America, Canada and other parts of the’civilised’ worlds have some kind of gum disease (yes, youngsters too), and most individuals over 60 have no teeth at all, is brushing and flossing really a solution?
Most commercial toothpastes (especially those with fluoride) can do you more damage than good. A recent UK newspaper article suggested that mouthwashes should be withdrawn from supermarket shelves as they may cause cancer.
Toothpaste poisoning: found on the box of a leading brand fluoride toothpaste: „Keep out of reach of children under 6 years of age. If you accidentally swallow more than used for brushing, get immediate medical help or contact a poison control centre right away“
A standard caution written on a mouthwash label: „In case of accidental ingestion, seek professional assistance or contact a poison control centre immediately. Do not use in children under six years of age. Supervise children over six.“
Are you impressed? Get thee away from me!
If you happen to have mouthwash in your bathroom I strongly recommend you stop using it right away, especially if the manufacturers are pushing the protein precipitating agent (ppa) on the label.
Question: What’s the best and safest mouthwash in the world (and it’s free)?
Answer:
Your own saliva!
Poor dentistry includes the use of potentially harmful materials that will in time cause tooth and/or gum deterioration and deficient conditions in the mouth. When you needlessly submit yourself to routine dental procedures like amalgam fillings (mercury), fluoridation and root canal treatments you are essentially giving uninformed consent to toxic poisoning.
Let’s not beat about the bush – modern dentistry is
more marketing than solution. Why, with all the modern designed toothbrushes, mouthwashes, toothpastes and flosses available today, the incidence of tooth decay and gum disease is higher than ever before?
Two reasons:
– Today’s food is so lacking in vital nutrients that we derive little if any benefit from it.
– Toothpastes, mouthwashes and surgical interventions for gum disease are not necessarily the most realistic option for looking after your oral health.
There’s overwhelming evidence confirming that the root cause of many poor oral conditions start in the mouth as a result of oral toxicity and the subsequent degeneration.
