Being one of the leading antidepressants in market, many people trust Paxil. Paxil was introduced in the year 1992 by GlaxoSmithKline and has been on demand since then due to the growing number of people. The massive advertisements of antidepressants not only on TV but also in the Internet can also make it alluring to some. A recent study conducted by two doctors has seen that the Internet is also a means of diagnosing depression.

Heart defects are present in babies from some women who have taken Paxil when they were pregnant.
A higher risk for developing birth defects in babies can be seen when the mother takes Paxil during the first trimester. Common problems found are to be heart defects specifically Ventricular and Atrial Septal defect. A hole in wall of the heart will be seen particularly at the lower portion. In some cases the hole will close but if the hole doesn’t close then a surgical intervention will be done to keep the baby healthy. GlaxoSmithKline is receiving Paxil lawsuit from parents of babies with birth defects to be able to take care of their baby.
